Mice, rats and other rodents will take advantage of your warm home by building nests in your insulation and feasting on any food crumbs left behind. Rodents love to chew on anything. Not only does this cause unattractive cosmetic damage, it can create fire hazards and cause appliances to stop working. Rodents may bring sticks, grasses and debris into your home to build their nests. Additionally, they might tear apart your insulation and use that too.

Signs:

 

Noises: Scratching, squeaking and scampering - emanating from the walls, ceilings, floors or attic are typically the first signs that you have a rodent infestation. Look for brown droppings, near food, in kitchen cupboards and drawers, or in your attic or basement. You may also notice a path of dirt along the baseboards from mice or rats following the same route when searching for food.
